Simply grab a few of the fabric sewn-edge shreds of fabric and pull one end through them as desired. Can be work several ways - depending on which end you have facing down or up at the back of your neck and which side you pull through.

This piece does have a front and backside, meaning some final stitching is visible on the backside. Overall, when styled you can’t tell the difference.
